Sara Leikin

Senior Director, National & International Steam Partnerships at COSI

Sara Leikin, Ed.D has a diverse work experience background. Sara started as a Teacher in 1997 and eventually transitioned to leadership roles such as Resident Principal and Assistant Principal. Sara served as Founding Head of School before becoming Director of STEM Solutions and Partnerships at The National Math and Science Initiative. Sara also worked as a consultant in Egypt and held positions at various educational institutions like The Franklin Institute and Denver Public Schools. Currently, they are the Senior Director of National & International STEAM Partnerships at COSI - Center of Science and Industry.

Sara Leikin earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations and French from Mount Holyoke College in 1995. Sara then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Secondary Education at John Carroll University from 1997 to 1998. Later, in 2021, they completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Program Development: Educational Innovation from the University of South Florida College of Education. Sara also holds additional certifications in Cultural Intelligence from Macquarie University and Storytelling for Influence from IDEO U.
