Mitchell's prior career in professional hockey includes playing for teams such as the Florida Panthers, AEG, and the Minnesota Wild, with a total of over a decade in the NHL. Mitchell's educational background includes studies at Clarkson University and multiple certifications from Datum Marine Training and the Canadian Red Cross, showcasing a robust combination of sports and maritime skills.
