Bernd Helbig has an extensive work experience in sales and marketing roles. Bernd started their career as a Key Account Manager at ROHM Europe GmbH in 1982 and held this position until 2001. After that, they worked as a Sales Manager Europe at Yageo Europe GmbH from 2001 to 2002. Bernd then joined SIIX Europe GmbH as a Sales Manager Europe from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, they joined Coto Technology and held various positions including Business Development Director from 2006 to 2013, Global Sales Director from 2013 to 2019, Senior Director of Global Sales in 2019, and Vice President of Global Sales from 2019 to 2023. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Coto Technology.

Coto Technology’s reed relay and reed switch manufacturing facility is located in Mexicali, Mexico. Coto Technology, Inc. originated in Providence, Rhode Island, USA in 1917 as Coto Coil Incorporated – a company specializing in the design and manufacture of coil windings. During the mid-1960’s, Coto expanded its product line by introducing the reed relay – the result of integrating reed switches into coil windings. By 1970, Coto emerged as a leading manufacturer of reed relays with the development of the first patented Low-Thermal EMF reed relay. Coto went on to produce the first ever surface mounted reed relays in 1983, the world’s smallest SMD reed relay in 1994, and the first patented reed relay with >8 GHz performance in 2001. In 2010, Coto relocated its relay design labs and corporate offices to scenic North Kingstown, RI along the shores of Narragansett Bay. The new, high-efficiency facilities allow Coto engineers to focus on developing solutions for tomorrow’s small signal switching applications. Whether it’s high-speed serial data communication, signal integrity analysis, or the increasing demands for greater bandwidth and higher frequency, Coto is prepared and committed to solving the applications concerns of our customers now and in the years to come.
