Robert Gentry has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Robert started their career as a Technical Services Manager at Engelhard in 1985 and worked there until 1990. Robert then joined Stoneridge Pollak in 1990 as a Team Leader and remained with the company until 2000. In 2000, they joined GKN Sinter Metals as a Sales Manager and worked there until 2008. During this time, they also held various roles at Coto Technology, including Director of Marketing from March 2008 to November 2009 and Director of Product Management from 2009 onwards.
From 1995 to 1998, Robert Gentry pursued their education at the University of Rhode Island - College of Business. During this period, they obtained a degree in MBA (Master of Business Administration) as well as BSEET (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology). Coto Technology’s reed relay and reed switch manufacturing facility is located in Mexicali, Mexico. Coto Technology, Inc. originated in Providence, Rhode Island, USA in 1917 as Coto Coil Incorporated – a company specializing in the design and manufacture of coil windings. During the mid-1960’s, Coto expanded its product line by introducing the reed relay – the result of integrating reed switches into coil windings. By 1970, Coto emerged as a leading manufacturer of reed relays with the development of the first patented Low-Thermal EMF reed relay. Coto went on to produce the first ever surface mounted reed relays in 1983, the world’s smallest SMD reed relay in 1994, and the first patented reed relay with >8 GHz performance in 2001. In 2010, Coto relocated its relay design labs and corporate offices to scenic North Kingstown, RI along the shores of Narragansett Bay. The new, high-efficiency facilities allow Coto engineers to focus on developing solutions for tomorrow’s small signal switching applications. Whether it’s high-speed serial data communication, signal integrity analysis, or the increasing demands for greater bandwidth and higher frequency, Coto is prepared and committed to solving the applications concerns of our customers now and in the years to come. In 2014, the company introduced its comprehensive CotoMOS® solid state relay line. And in 2016, Coto launched its revolutionary TMR-based miniature RedRock sensors and switch series products.
