Kaitlyn Bissonnette

Kaitlyn Bissonnette serves as the Director of Agricultural Research at Cotton Incorporated since April 2022. Previously, Bissonnette held the position of Assistant Extension Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia from October 2017 to March 2022, focusing on the management of diseases and pests affecting corn, soybeans, and wheat. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University, where outreach for soybean cyst nematode was emphasized, and a Graduate Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, handling field and laboratory trials while providing instruction to students. Earlier, Bissonnette worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Idaho on Fusarium Head Blight control and began research duties as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota. Bissonnette holds a PhD in Crop Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Plant Science from the University of Idaho, and a BS in Plant Biology from the University of Minnesota.
