Council on Foundations
Zainab Arain is an accomplished Engagement Manager at the Council on Foundations, where responsibilities include leading community-building activities and managing an online member forum. Previous roles include Program and Research Manager at Proteus Fund, organizing initiatives to support the Horizon Forum, and conducting collaborative research. As a Senior Associate at The Democracy Collaborative, Zainab managed projects focused on community wealth-building. Earlier experience includes significant advocacy and research work at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, where Zainab produced numerous publications and reports on American Muslim issues. Zainab's educational background includes a Master's degree in Islamic Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, both from UCLA, complemented by international study at The American University in Cairo.
