Kim Pearson

Kim Pearson currently serves as the Human Resources Manager II and Employee Benefits Division Manager at the County of San Mateo, a position held since December 2016. Pearson leads a team of HR professionals and program managers, focusing on strategic planning and process improvements that enhance employee benefits and support recruitment and retention. Prior to this role, Pearson managed employee benefits staff and operations, including retiree health, at the County of San Mateo. Pearson’s experience also includes a role as Program Manager II for Healthcare and CalFresh at the City and County of San Francisco, where direct management was exercised over a large social service staff and involvement in complex project management and policy implementation. Additionally, Pearson worked as an Operations Analyst at the County of San Mateo, overseeing computer systems policy and county contact center operations. Involved with UC Berkeley since 2011, Pearson contributes to the BASSC initiative.
