Couristan
Stan McWaters has extensive experience in operations and logistics management. Stan started their career in 1987 as a Staff Industrial Engineer at Dubal, Beck & Harris Engineering. After working there for two years, they joined Springs Industries as a Distribution Manager and Project Engineer. Stan stayed with Springs Industries for almost a decade before moving on to Mohawk Industries in 1998. At Mohawk Industries, they held the positions of Sr. Manager Logistics-Operations and Director of Mill Operations for over 19 years. In 2017, they joined Couristan Inc. as the Vice President of Operations, where they currently work.
Stan McWaters attended EMCC from 1981 to 1982, where they studied General Studies. Stan then transferred to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1983 and studied Industrial Engineering for one year. After completing their studies there, they transferred to Tennessee Technological University in 1984 and pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering/Industrial Technology, which they completed in 1987.

For 93-years, the Couristan brand has been revered as an icon of style and quality for its exquisite area rugs, residential carpeting and custom floor covering fashions. Founded in 1926 by brothers Basil J. Couri and George J. Couri, Couristan has been privately owned and operated by the Couri family for two generations.
