Dr. Patrick Franke

Dr. Patrick Franke is a highly experienced professional in the field of process chemistry and chemical engineering, currently serving as the Head of Process Chemistry Resins and Global Manufacturing Lead Resins at Covestro since September 2017. In this role, Dr. Franke acts as the principal process chemistry expert for Coatings and Adhesives and has held various leadership positions, including Plant Manager and 2nd Plant Manager, overseeing production teams, optimizing operations, and managing budgets and safety protocols. Prior to Covestro, Dr. Franke worked at BASF as a Research Engineer in Chemical Process Technology, focusing on membrane-based separation processes, and has an academic background that includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from TU Dortmund University. Dr. Franke also holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Computational Engineering Science from RWTH Aachen University and a Credential of Readiness in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School Online.
