David Zayas

David Zayas has a diverse range of experience in the software engineering field. David is currently serving as the Vice President of Software Engineering at Covetrus, where they oversee various operations such as DevOps, Delivery, Cloud Operations, AppSec, Data, and QA. Prior to this role, David worked at The Washington Post as the Vice President of Engineering, where they played a key role in delivering architecture, security, and software design consulting to C-suite executives and contributed to the successful ISO 27001 Certification of Arc XP. David also served as the Director of Engineering, Platform Architecture, Mobile and Cloud Automation at The Washington Post. Before joining The Washington Post, David held positions at Grainger, IBM, Sears Holdings Corporation, IBM Interactive, and Sears Roebuck and Co., where they gained experience in various roles such as Senior Engineering Manager DevOps, Dev Tools, and Automation; Principal Software Engineer; NA Lead Mobile Architect; Lead Mobile Architect; Digital Tinkerer / Technical Conscience / Principal Architect; and Advisory IT Architect. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in areas such as software development, architecture, security, automation, and mobile technology.

David Zayas has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
