Steve Koehrsen

Steve Koehrsen, CPA, serves as the Director of Internal Audit – SOX Compliance at Covetrus since February 2021, where responsibilities include leading the scoping and risk assessment for the annual SOX audit plan and overseeing its execution across global operations. Prior to Covetrus, Koehrsen held the position of Manager of Internal Audit at Worthington Industries for over thirteen years, optimizing SOX testing processes and significantly reducing both the number of key controls and external audit fees. Koehrsen also gained experience as Internal Audit Manager at Dominion Homes, Inc., focusing on entity-wide risk assessments and operational audits, and as Assistant Vice President/Accounting Manager at JPMorganChase, managing a significant charge-down database. Koehrsen began the career at Deloitte & Touche, where responsibilities included developing budgets and supervising audit staff. Koehrsen earned a B.A. in Business Administration/Accounting from Wittenberg University.
