David Abel

David Abel is an experienced media executive currently serving as the VP and Market Manager of Radio for Cox Media Group in Atlanta since March 2019, with previous tenure as VP and Market Manager in San Antonio. Prior to joining Cox Media Group, David held the position of Vice President of Radio at Griffin Communications and served as Vice President and General Manager of Radio Operations at The E.W. Scripps Company. David's extensive career includes leadership roles at New Point Digital as COO, Apex Broadcasting as VP and General Manager, and multiple positions at Cox Radio in Orlando and Birmingham. David began his career in radio sales management at Guaranty Broadcasting. David holds a degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, with studies completed from 1992 to 1996.
