Karen Smith

Karen Smith has an extensive career in procurement and contract management, currently serving as Contract Manager for Power Generation at CPS Energy since August 2008, where responsibilities include educating stakeholders on procurement policies and engaging in strategic sourcing. Prior roles at CPS Energy included Category Manager and various positions as Procurement Analyst, focusing on supply chain management and contract administration. Karen's experience also includes working as a Contractor Exchange/Adoption Specialist at Accenture and as Purchasing Coordinator at SAMMinistries, as well as positions at the University of Texas Health Science Center and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where skills in contract administration were honed. Karen holds a BBA in Finance from Abilene Christian University.
