John Abson is a highly experienced quality management professional with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Chartered Quality Professional at The Chartered Quality Institute since September 2008, John has also contributed as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Cinema Organ Society from January 2019 to August 2021. Before this, John held the position of Group Quality and Business Processes Manager at SKF from 1978 until December 2020, overseeing the SKF Improvement Academy and focusing on quality management systems, business process management, and business excellence. Additionally, John served as Quality Manager at the Institute of Quality Assurance from December 1991 to August 2008. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, earned between 1974 and 1978.
