Katy Menczer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Katy began their career in 2002 as a Doctoral Researcher at Queen Mary, University of London, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant from 2003 to 2008. Following their academic pursuits, Katy joined the World Entertainment News Network as a Picture Desk Assistant from 2007 to 2010. Katy then transitioned to TheLadders.co.uk, where they served as a CV Writer & Analyst from 2010 to 2012 and as a Digital Editor from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, Katy joined Contentive as a Managing Editor and later became the Head of Publishing from 2015 to 2015. Since 2015, they have been involved with Craft Gin Club, initially as the Content & Community Director and later as the Chief Community Officer and Chief Brand & Community Officer.

Katy Menczer holds a PhD in English Literature from Queen Mary University of London, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Master's degree in Modernism from the University of East Anglia from 2001 to 2002. Katy'seducation journey began with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, also from the University of East Anglia, from 1998 to 2001.
