Viswanath Sasank Bethapudi has had a varied career that spans multiple industries. Viswanath Sasank began their career in 2008 as a Summer Intern for The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. In 2010, they were a Project Intern and Business Engineer Trainee for ARCI and Aditya Birla Group, respectively. In the same year, they took on the role of Scientist-Fuel Cell Science & Technology for ARCI. In 2014, they became a Research Engineer - II for Saint Gobain Research India Ltd. In 2016, they completed their MSc Chemical Process Engineering (Distinction) at UCL. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Research Fellow and PhD in Chemical Engineering at UCL. Most recently, they were appointed as Chief Engineer - Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems for Cranfield Aerospace Solutions.

Viswanath Sasank Bethapudi obtained a Secondary School Certificate from St Patrick's Boys High School in 2002-2003. Viswanath Sasank then went on to complete a BE (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2006-2010. In 2016-2017, they obtained a Master's Degree in Chemical Process Engineering from UCL. Finally, in 2018-2021, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering from UCL. In 2020, they obtained an Associate Member certification from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
