David Callender

David Callender has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David started their career as a Software Engineer at Creare in 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Technician II at the University of Washington/HHMI, where they contributed to research projects in computational protein design and maintained experimental equipment in David Baker's lab at the Department of Biochemistry. David also held the position of LabVIEW specialist at the University of Washington, where their role and responsibilities were not provided. Additionally, they interned at TLC Precision Wafer Technology, where they performed repair work on a Molecular Beam Epitaxy growth chamber and tested electrical properties of GaAs transistors. Furthermore, they worked as a Research Assistant on a zinc-oxide film growth project at Macalester College, where they developed a program to control a Hall Effect measurement instrument and constructed the instrument itself.

David Callender has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the Department of Computer Science M.S. Program from Dartmouth College. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Macalester College. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications. These include certifications in Functional Programming Principles in Scala, Introduction to Data Science, Computing for Data Analysis, and Machine Learning, all obtained through Coursera. The certifications were obtained in different months and years, with Functional Programming Principles in Scala obtained in November 2013, Introduction to Data Science in June 2013, Computing for Data Analysis in October 2012, and Machine Learning in July 2012.
