James (Jesse) Norris

James (Jesse) Norris has a diverse range of work experience. James (Jesse) began their career in 2002 as a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they focused on studying the behavior of magnetorheological fluids in impact loading. This involved designing and constructing a drop tower test facility and analyzing collected data.

In 2003, James joined Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as a Graduate Research Assistant. James (Jesse) was primarily involved in developing techniques to understand how aging affects stability. Their responsibilities included utilizing dynamic systems theories and 3D motion analysis to gain insights into the impact of aging. Additionally, they served as co-PI on an NIH Taskforce grant aimed at developing a portable tool for characterizing hypertonia in patients with cerebral palsy.
