Creative Scotland
Kenneth Fowler is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Communications and External Relations at Creative Scotland since August 2011, Kenneth has also contributed as a Member of the Board of Trustees at WHALE Arts since October 2019. Previous positions include Deputy Director and Head of Communications at The Scottish Government during a secondment from Creative Scotland, and Head of Communications at Scottish Natural Heritage from August 2007 to August 2011. Kenneth's prior experience includes serving as Board Director at Eden Court Theatre, Strategy Director and Partner at 1576 Advertising, and Research & Strategy Manager at The Glenmorangie Company. Kenneth's career began in marketing research at Standard Life. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Edinburgh Napier University.
