Creature Technology Co.
At Creature Technology Co. we fuse creative excellence with innovative design. We are the world leaders in bringing to life creatures that blow your imagination. Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2006, Creature Technology revolutionised animatronic entertainment through the production of Walking with Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular. With a vision to emotionally connect an audience to a cast of prehistoric beasts, we used never-before-seen technology to set a new benchmark in storytelling through animatronics. Since then, our work has spanned the globe and the many genres of live entertainment – from arena shows and theatre productions to exhibitions and, more recently, the world’s most awe-inspiring theme park attractions. As a multi-disciplinary team of artists, designers, engineers, technicians and makers, we pride ourselves on our ability to work closely with our clients from concept and design, to production and installation. Being a fully integrated design and production business allows us to continually evolve our creature making process. A sophisticated design approach and rigorous processes weave together technical innovation and engineering excellence. All of this is underpinned by a passion for storytelling through performance – delivering wholly transformative experiences. Our Tony Award-winning King Kong puppet created a sensation on Broadway. Our bounding, flying, fire-breathing dragons defied the limits of invention in the How to Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular. Our giant animatronic wonder provides the exhilarating climax to the Skull Island: Reign of Kong dark ride at Universal Orlando Resort. And our larger-than-life mascots for the Sochi Winter Olympics were instrumental in elevating large-scale storytelling to an audience of billions. An incredible audience experience is – and always will be – the ambition that motivates our every step. Encounter the Extraordinary at Creature Technology Co.
