Abhaya Koirala

Abhaya Koirala is a seasoned database reliability engineer with extensive experience in managing and optimizing large-scale database environments. Currently serving as a Senior Database Reliability Engineer at Credit Karma since November 2017, Abhaya supports MySQL and PostgreSQL databases and has successfully migrated them to Google Cloud while ensuring high availability and throughput through the design of a multi-master architecture. Prior experience includes serving as a Database Administrator at Zynga, where Abhaya focused on performance tuning and database management in AWS, as well as automating migration processes using Python. Abhaya's earlier roles also include MySQL database administration at iPost, database consulting for the California Emerging Technology Fund, and support for Oracle and MS SQL at San Francisco Chronicle. Abhaya holds a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI."
