Wolfgang Kratsch has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and academia. Wolfgang is currently employed as a Professor for Applied AI at Hochschule Augsburg since February 2023 and holds the position of a Professor at Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Informationstechnik FIT since the same time. Prior to these roles, they worked at FIM Forschungsinstitut für Informationsmanagement as a Director, where they also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Process Mining & AI from January 2021 to March 2023, and as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (Doktorand) from July 2017 to January 2021. Additionally, Wolfgang Kratsch has also showcased their entrepreneurial skills by co-founding both credium in December 2020 and Center for Process Intelligence in January 2021.
Wolfgang Kratsch pursued their education in the field of Information Systems. Wolfgang completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Universität Augsburg from 2011 to 2014. Wolfgang then continued their studies at the same university and obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree from 2014 to 2017. Subsequently, they furthered their education at Universität Bayreuth, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Information Systems with a specialization in Process Mining and AI from 2017 to 2020.

Auf Basis von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) werten wir im Hintergrund unter anderem 3D-Gebäudemodelle, Satelliten- bzw. Orthofotos, Kartendienste sowie sozioökonomische Statistiken aus. So ermitteln wir zum Beispiel die Oberfläche von Fassaden, Fenstern und Dächern, Nutz- und Wohnfläche, Anzahl der Stockwerke, Gebäudefunktion, Gebäudealtersklasse und viele weitere Merkmale für jedes Gebäude in Deutschland.
