Dhara Shah earned a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from K.J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce in Mumbai from 1999 to 2004. Dhara then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance at the Institute of Management & Professional Studies at Mulund, Mumbai from 2004 to 2005. Dhara later attended Welingkar Institute of Management from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in PGPRM- Retail Marketing. In addition to their formal education, Dhara has obtained several certifications, including Life Saver Certificate- Basic Life Support in 2013 and Life Insurance-(R) from the Insurance Institute of India in 2011.
