AlGene Caraulia has a diverse work experience spanning from 1983 to the present. AlGene started their career as a Professional Facilitator/Consultant at Crisis Prevention Institute in Brookfield, WI from 1983 to 1986. AlGene then moved on to work as a Shift Commander and Training Manager at the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department in Cleveland, OH from 1989 to 1997. Additionally, from 2009 to 2011, Caraulia served as a Principal at Aperture Group Consultants, LLC, where they provided carefully planned and implemented change processes for organizations, aiming to maximize profitability, productivity, morale, and quality of work life.

Since 2011, Caraulia has been associated with Crisis Prevention Institute in various roles. AlGene started as the Executive Director of Operations from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, they served as the Vice President of Training, and since December 2019, they have been the Vice President of Integration and Sustainability.

AlGene Caraulia completed their high school education at Lakewood High School. After completing their high school diploma, they pursued higher education at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
