Susan Sperling has a diverse and extensive work experience in communications and public relations. Susan is currently serving as the Vice President of Communications and Public Engagement at Crosslinx Transit Solutions. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant and Communications Lead at TC Energy for the Ontario Pumped Storage Project. Susan also held the position of Director of Communications at Northland Power Inc., where they led all internal and external communications, including managing the transition to remote work during the COVID pandemic. Susan has also worked at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) as an Acting Executive Director of Corporate Communications, a Manager of Corporate Communications, and a Manager of Strategic Communications. In addition, they have served as the Director of Communications for kids.now, a national not-for-profit organization, and as a Media Relations Specialist at Toronto Public Health. Susan's career began at the Ontario Public Health Association and they also worked at York Region Health Services and the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care.
Susan Sperling completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Labour Studies at York University from 1984 to 1991. Susan then pursued their Master of Industrial Relations degree at the University of Toronto from 1993 to 1996. In 2013, Susan undertook an advanced social media course at the Columbia School of Journalism. Additionally, they have also studied Industrial Relations/Labour Relations at the University of Toronto.
