Your Role: Engineering Manager

We are looking for an engineering manager with a focus on growing teams and collaborating with our business stakeholders.  You’re excited about building and leading teams.  You enjoy  mentoring individuals and coaching them through their career growth.  In this role, you will work with stakeholders on providing direction and focus to the project, plans on exploring solutions and ensure the team delivers with high quality and predictability.  You will work with other engineering leaders to elevate engineering efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage a team of 5  engineers and monitor team health
• Coach and mentor team members and elevate engineering excellence
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to build, hire and retain teams
• Create a space for collaboration between the team and stakeholders to deliver the best solutions to interesting problems
• Communicate changes and updates tailored to appropriate audiences
• Ensure teams deliver with high quality and predictability
• Contribute to the Engineering team’s culture, processes and best practices
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and growth

Ideally you’ll have:

• Has experience in leading and managing a diverse team
• Has experience in mentoring and coaching individuals
• Hands-on experience in delivering quality solutions in a timely manner
• Has a software development background that enables you to drive technical decisions within the team
• Hands-on experience in refining development processes
• Has excellent communication skills to information across different levels
• Has experience with resolving problems, leading change and managing risks
• Willing and able to dive into code when it’s needed

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Go
• Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node ecosystem
• Experience with container & orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and Knative
• Experience with Instagram and/or Facebook APIs
