Therese Dugan

Therese Dugan, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of Education & Research at CrunchLabs since January 2025, and as an External Advisory Board Member for the UC Irvine Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences since September 2018. Dugan was the Head of Research at Amazon from September 2020 to January 2025, leading various user experience research teams specializing in visual search and augmented reality. Previous experience includes roles at Meta as a UX Research Lead for AI, Intel Corporation as a Senior Design Researcher and Education Research Scientist, and contributions to educational technology and UX design through consulting at organizations such as PBS Kids and PURE Research. Dugan holds a Ph.D. in Learning Science and Human Development from the University of Washington, alongside degrees in Documentary Production and Theater and Film Studies.
