Richard Kendall has a strong background in finance and strategy, with experience in leading the growth and scaling of various digital streaming and gaming businesses.

Richard most recently served as the Vice President of Finance & Strategy at Crunchyroll, where they led the company's expansion efforts, increasing the subscriber base from 5 million to 10 million and revenue from $500 million to over $1 billion. Richard also led market projections and international pricing analysis, and spearheaded growth initiatives in Latin America and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Prior to Crunchyroll, Richard worked at WarnerMedia as the Vice President of Finance & Strategy for their global digital streaming media subscription service. Under their leadership, the subscriber base grew from 2 million to over 5 million, and revenue increased from $200 million to $500 million.

Richard also has significant experience at PlayStation, where they held the role of Senior Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development. Richard successfully launched a new business called "PlayStation Direct," which transitioned the PlayStation hardware into a subscription and cloud-based model aligned with the company's direct-to-consumer strategy. Richard also led the finance and accounting functions for PlayStation, playing a key role in scaling the business from $1 billion to $10 billion in annual revenue.

Before PlayStation, Richard worked at Sony Electronics as the Director of Finance for the UK and Ireland, overseeing the finance and accounting operations for the sales and distribution of consumer electronics. Richard was also involved in strategic finance initiatives at Sony Corporation in Japan, where they presented a global finance platform strategy to the company's board for funding approval.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, and business development, as well as strong leadership skills in managing finance and accounting teams and implementing process improvements.

Richard Kendall (ACMA, CGMA) has a strong educational background in accounting and finance. Richard obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting & Finance from Leeds Beckett University. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, with a focus on Professional Accountancy Exams. In 2005, Richard obtained certifications from the Association of Chartered Management Accountants (CIMA) and became a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
