Tom Hurlbutt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tom began their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Google in 2006. After this, they worked as a Course Assistant at Stanford University from 2006 to 2007. Tom then joined Intuit, where they held several positions, including Rotational Development Program Associate, Product Manager, and Senior Product Manager. During their tenure at Intuit, they led teams, managed product priorities, and played a key role in change management. In 2013, Tom joined Facebook as an Internal Product Manager and worked there until 2014. Tom returned to Stanford University as a Visiting Lecturer for various periods from 2008 to 2015. Additionally, they had a brief role as a Visiting Lecturer at Stanford in 2009. In 2015, Tom joined Crunchyroll as a Senior Product Manager and later progressed to become a Principal Product Manager, Group Product Manager, Director of Product Management, and eventually, the Senior Director of Product Management. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing product strategy and management.
Tom Hurlbutt attended Stanford University from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
