Waell OUESLATI has a diverse work experience in the anime and manga industry. Waell started their career at Viz Media Europe in 2010 as a Licensing Approvals Coordinator, where they managed and coordinated sales relations with property right holders. In 2012, they joined Shogakukan - Shueisha Productions Co. LTD as a Brand Licensing Coordinator, where they gained experience in audiovisual and merchandising licensing of Japanese media properties. Waell also played a key role in the global launch of the property Tenkai Knights.

Waell returned to Viz Media Europe in 2015 and took on various roles. As the EMEA Licensing Brand Manager, they managed and coordinated B2B and B2C European brand strategies for animation properties such as Yo-kai Watch and Doraemon. Waell also worked as a Publishing Licensing Manager, where they managed and licensed Japanese comic books (Manga) rights to European publishers.

In 2019, Waell joined Crunchyroll as the Acquisitions & Approvals Executive Manager, responsible for approving and managing the acquisition of anime titles. Waell then served as the Director of Acquisitions and Licensing EMEA, overseeing the European acquisitions and licensing team. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Consumer Products EMEA at Crunchyroll, where they lead the consumer products team in the region.

Waell OUESLATI's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Université Côte d'Azur. They completed a Master 1 LEA Anglais-Italien, specializing in Langues Etrangères Appliquées. In 2007, they graduated from Université Côte d'Azur. After that, from 2007 to 2008, Waell OUESLATI pursued a Master's degree in Commerce et Management des Affaires Internationales - Japon at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology. Lastly, in 2008, they enrolled in the Japan and East Asia Studies Program at Kwansei Gakuin University, where they studied Études japonaises until 2009.
