Wasantha Perera is an accomplished information security professional with extensive experience in leadership and consultancy roles. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at CryptoGen since April 2014, Wasantha has also held key positions such as Security Consultant at MAS Holdings and Colombo Stock Exchange, contributing valuable expertise in security for prominent organizations. Notably, Wasantha was a member of the (ISC)² Board Advisory Council, providing guidance on industry standards, and served as President of the local forum to foster collaboration among members. Previous roles include Head of Information Security and Compliance at Colombo Stock Exchange and Business Head of Information Security at N-able Pvt Ltd. Wasantha holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer, Mathematics, and Physics from the University of Peradeniya.
