Eli Rod

Eli Rod is an experienced lighting artist and supervisor with a strong background in the animation and gaming industries. Currently serving as the Lead Lighting Artist/Senior Artist at Crystal Dynamics since July 2023, Eli contributes to the Perfect Dark team by establishing effective lighting procedures and advocating for tool development. Previously, as CG Supervisor for Warner Bros. Animation's "Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai" Season 2, Eli led the creative and technical animation processes. Additional experience includes roles at Cloud 10 Studios, ILMxLAB, DreamWorks Animation, Insomniac Games, and Treyarch, where Eli developed lighting techniques and workflows for various high-profile projects. Eli holds a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and has served as a mentor in lighting for animation at Animation Mentor.
