Karen Wong is senior vice president for membership groups and special events, and corporate secretary at CSIS. She is responsible for managing the Center’s exclusive membership groups: the International Councillors, Advisory Board, Dallas Roundtable, International Policy Roundtable, New York City Roundtable, and San Francisco Roundtable. This entails managing high-level membership meetings and special fundraising events; overseeing development of membership standards and services; ensuring that existing members are actively involved in CSIS programs and activities; and managing membership retention programs and recruitment campaigns.
Wong also serves as liaison between the Center and its Board of Trustees. Previously, she served as assistant director of the CSIS Asia Program and was in charge of the program’s research activities and high-level meetings. Her other professional experience includes working for the Global Alliance for Workers and Communities, the Points of Light Foundation, and the American College of Health Care Administrators. She received her B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland, and she is fluent in Chinese.
