Darcy Hunstiger is currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Training (EIT) Specialist at CSU STRATA, providing support to the Lab to Life venture studio startup incubation team in launching and growing successful startups derived from Colorado State University inventions. Darcy has a strong research background, currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on the metabolic engineering of cyanobacteria for renewable production of chemical intermediates. Previous roles include Undergraduate Student Researcher and Undergraduate Research Assistant, both within the lab of Dr. Christie Peebles, along with earlier research on algae photophysiology under Dr. Maxwell Ware. Darcy's professional experience includes managing a highly successful floral department at Sprouts Farmers Market. Currently, Darcy is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University, having previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.
