Catherine Jerome has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Catherine is currently working as a DEI Coordinator at CU Direct, starting in February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Campus Peace Corps Recruiter at California State University, Long Beach from December 2020 to February 2022. In 2021, Catherine volunteered as a COVID-19 Community Vaccination Center Mission Support Volunteer at FEMA from May to August.
In 2019, Catherine worked as a WASH Behavior Change Specialist at Catholic Relief Services, where they managed the behavior change strategy and target objectives in the Vakinankaratra region. Catherine also supported gender and social inclusion activities in the region.
Before that, Catherine served as a Community Health Advisor in the Peace Corps from February 2017 to May 2019. Catherine was responsible for promoting community health initiatives and education.
Prior to their work in the Peace Corps, Catherine worked as a Human Resources Information System Coordinator at Prospect Mortgage, LLC from November 2014 to January 2017.
Catherine gained international experience as a Global Real Estate Intern at World Vision in 2012. Catherine also served as an Intern at InterVarsity Bruin Christian Fellowship and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Global Project.
Additionally, Catherine has volunteered in various capacities, including an internship at Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries in 2011.
Catherine Jerome attended UCLA from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Development Economics and International Development. In January 2022, they also obtained a certification in Diversity and Inclusion in Marketing, specifically Inclusive Language for Marketers, from LinkedIn.
