Michael Cushman

Michael Cushman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael started their career at Charter Communications, where they worked as a Warehouse Technician and later as a Broadband Technician II. In these roles, they were responsible for inventory control, equipment testing, and installations for residential customers.

Michael then transitioned to IT roles, joining ITT Technical Institute as an IT Teacher Assistant, where they provided assistance to teachers and conducted labs for students. Michael then worked at efacec USA, Inc. as an IT Systems Support Specialist, maintaining and expanding a private cloud solution and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Next, Michael joined the City of Roswell, Georgia as a Network Administrator, where they led the city's VMware infrastructure and provided technical input for the IT infrastructure. Michael later moved to Aaron's, Inc as a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, contributing to the design and implementation of IT solutions for corporate offices and stores.

Currently, Michael is employed at Cumberland Group, where they have held multiple roles. Michael started as a Senior Systems Engineer, then became a Solutions Architect, and finally a Senior Solutions Architect. In these roles, they have been involved in architecture design and solution implementation.

Additionally, Michael has a background in fitness, working as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer at CrossFit Kennesaw. Overall, Michael's work experience demonstrates their expertise in IT infrastructure, systems support, network administration, and architectural design.

Michael Cushman began their education at ITT Technical Institute, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Computer Network Systems from 2009 to 2011. Michael then pursued further education at the same institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Security from 2011 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has also obtained several certifications. Michael earned the Specialist - Implementation Engineer, PowerEdge MX Modular Version 1.0 certification from Dell Technologies in April 2020. In April 2019, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft. Furthermore, Michael holds the Cohesity Certified Data Protection Implementation Professional and Cohesity Certified Installation Professional certifications from Cohesity, both obtained in November 2022. Michael also pursued certifications as a Pure Storage FlashArray Architect Associate and a Pure Storage FlashBlade Architect Associate, both achieved in June 2022. Lastly, Michael has indicated their intent to obtain the Nutanix Certified Professional 5.5 certification from Nutanix and the Zerto Certified Professional Advanced certification from Zerto, although specific completion dates have not been provided for these certifications.
