Akshay Gavade

Akshay Gavade is a proficient mechanical engineer with a diverse background in product design and development, currently serving as a Product System Design Engineer Technical Specialist at Cummins Inc. since July 2022. Previously, Akshay held the position of Research Assistant at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Nilkamal Control Systems Private Limited, where significant achievements included designing over 25 safety frames and enhancing powder coating processes. Akshay's leadership experience as Team Captain at SAE International involved directing a team to achieve a commendable overall ranking in a competitive setting. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
