Annie Mitsak is an experienced professional in the life sciences and venture capital sectors, currently serving as a Partner at Cure Ventures since June 2023. Mitsak has held several Board Observer roles at companies such as Photys Therapeutics, Rectify Pharma, Scorpion Therapeutics, Anjarium Biosciences, and Ikena Oncology, contributing insights and governance from December 2021 to March 2021. Previously, Mitsak worked as a Principal at Omega Funds from October 2015 to May 2022, focusing on healthcare investments, deal sourcing, and due diligence. Additionally, Mitsak served as a Member of the Board of Directors for Trevi Therapeutics, Inc. from August 2018 to June 2020, and as an Associate Technology Licensing Officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from October 2012 to September 2015, managing licensing agreements in biotechnology. Mitsak holds a PhD and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
