Bo Barnhart is an experienced drug development professional currently serving as Drug Maker in Residence at Curie.Bio since May 2024. Previously, Barnhart held the position of VP of Translational Research and Scientific Director at AbCellera from January 2020 to April 2024. Earlier in the career at Bristol-Myers Squibb from August 2007 to January 2020, Barnhart was a Senior Director in Oncology Discovery/Translational, leading efforts to generate critical translational data and analyze human tumor samples to support drug development. Barnhart also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Dr. Celeste Simon’s laboratory from August 2004 to August 2007, focusing on the effects of hypoxia on protein translation in tumor cells. Educational credentials include a PhD in Immunology from the University of Chicago (1999-2004) and a BA in Biology/English from Rutgers University (1991-1996).
