Ashwin Reddy

Head of Education & Pedagogy at Curious Cardinals

Ashwin graduated from Stanford with the Joshua Lederberg Award for Academic Excellence in Human Biology (awarded to graduating seniors who earn a 4.0 GPA), as a Phi Kappa Beta scholar, and as the winner of the Stanford Science Department's Teaching Award. He also won the Medical Missionaries Global Health Fellowship. He has taught all over Stanford as a teacher assistant on Zoom, as a student advisor within the Human Biology department, as a tutor for custodial workers in the HABLA program and for Stanford students in Chemistry. He also worked as the sole undergraduate patient recruiter at Stanford Hospital and translated for Spanish speakers at the Pacific Free Clinic.

When Ashwin was not teaching, in the hospital, or translating Spanish, he spent his free time leading Stanford outdoor trips for underclassmen and other outreach programs. The Cargill Global Leadership Seminar recognized his “exemplary achievements and leadership potential” as one of ten Cargill Global Scholars selected from the US. Ashwin also co-founded Stanford Alzheimer's Alliance, which pairs Stanford undergraduates with residents who are diagnosed with dementia at Webster House Health Center. Ashwin thrives across a diversity of borders, languages, and landscapes. With profound problem solving abilities, he can tackle any obstacle, whether it be related to your chemistry homework or your health. Ashwin is ready to share his bio expertise and inspire students to take on new challenges from a variety of perspectives with engagement and enthusiasm.
