Orest Hrycyna

Orest Hrycyna is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Visa since October 2022 and as a Senior Engineering Manager at Currencycloud since June 2021, Orest has previously held significant positions such as Head of Core Engineering and Head of Platform Engineering at Fuse, as well as Lead Developer roles at Surfdome.com. With a foundation in Ruby, APIs, and web technologies, Orest has a solid background in both team leadership and hands-on development across various programming languages and platforms. Orest holds a Master of Science degree in Sound and Vision Engineering from Gdańsk University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Net Technology and Databases from the University of Gdańsk.
