Dr. Philip Voll has a diverse work experience in the fields of energy economics and energy systems engineering. Dr. Philip is currently working at Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG, where they hold the position of Head of Sales & Product Management. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Strategic Initiative Digitalization and the Head of Energy Trading & Dispatching. Dr. Philip also worked as a Team Lead in Dispatching and as a Project Engineer, specializing in energy economics and energy projects. Before joining Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG, Dr. Voll worked at RWTH Aachen University as a Group Leader in Energy Systems Engineering and as a Research Assistant during their PhD studies.
Dr. Philip Voll completed their education in the field of engineering. Dr. Philip obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2007. Following that, they pursued a Dr.-Ing. degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2013. In 2005-2006, Dr. Voll had the opportunity to be a visiting scholar at the University of California, Davis, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their education, Dr. Voll also received certifications such as the Borchers-Plakette 2014 from RWTH Aachen University and the Nachwuchspreis 2012 from Gesellschaft zur Förderung angewandter Informatik.
