Melinda Fitzgerald is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of research and neurotrauma, currently serving as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research (Interim) and Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Research at Curtin University. Holding the position of Dean of Research in the Faculty of Health Sciences, Melinda also serves as Chief Executive Officer at Connectivity Traumatic Brain Injury Australia. With extensive experience as a Professor of Neurotrauma at Curtin University and the Perron Institute, as well as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Western Australia, Melinda has contributed significantly to the academic community through various roles, including Deputy Director at Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute and Associate Professor/Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia. Melinda's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Biochemistry and Microbiology from The University of Western Australia, completed between 1986 and 1993.
