Julia Zavadsky is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in choral conducting and music education. Currently, Zavadsky serves as faculty in the Department of Musical Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music and as the Artistic Director and Choral Conductor for Nashirah, the Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia. With a strong foundation in choral activities, Zavadsky also directs choirs at the Singing Hearts Choral Society of Southern NJ and Rutgers University, in addition to teaching undergraduate conducting at Temple University. As Music Director and Choral Conductor at Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill, NJ, Zavadsky oversees various musical initiatives. With a diverse background in conducting and music theory across the PA, NYC, and NJ areas since 1993, Zavadsky holds advanced degrees in conducting and music education from prestigious institutions including Stony Brook University and Temple University.
