CUTISS
Luca Vernazza currently serves as a Senior Research Associate and Process Developer at Cutiss AG since August 2019, following a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Zurich from March to July 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a Course Instructor at Universität Zürich from July 2017 to July 2019, and as an Administrative Assistant at Kantonsspital St.Gallen KSSG from July 2008 to October 2017. Luca has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in early 2011. Luca holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Zurich (2017-2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the same institution (2013-2017).

CUTISS AG can now bio-engineer large quantities of individually customized human skin grafts, denovoSkin™, starting off from a very small piece of healthy patient’s skin. Because of its intrinsic characteristics, denovoSkin™ is expected to result in a minimally scarring outcome after transplantation. denovoSkin™ received a Swissmedic, EMA and FDAOrphan drug designation for the treatment of burns.
