The Microsoft Practice Director position is dedicated to the development and growth of professional services business at CyberOne. The Microsoft Services Practice Director will provide vision and thought leadership to build a world-class Microsoft practice. The Practice Director will lead customer engagement, working with sales and technical teams to develop and present solutions to C-level executives at CyberOne’s clients and prospects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing partner relationships and have a broad understanding of the Microsoft security ecosystem. The Practice Director will be well-versed in scoping, developing, and executing statements of work. The position requires a strong leader who can readily articulate and negotiate the value of the solutions CyberOne brings to market as a Microsoft partner. The position requires the ability to effectively scale and tailor Microsoft services to a variety of use cases in order to develop business and financial strategies.

Essential Functions

  • Overall sales and delivery for the CyberOne/Microsoft relationship and technical service offerings, including project services, technical residencies, and managed services.
  • Develop service offerings aligned with business goals and technical competencies.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships at Microsoft and other ecosystem partners.
  • Provide overall technical direction of the Microsoft practice as well as mentoring and coaching team.
  • Engage in presales activity with sales reps developing solutions in the Microsoft space.
  • Work closely with other executives to attain goals, and plan investment needs to support staffing and other organizational resources demands.
  • Leverage Microsoft funding programs to the greatest extent possible to fund CyberOne services delivery on customer project initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery capabilities via internal staff and 3rd-party service providers.
  • Lead client calls and demos and present complex proposals for customers and prospects.
  • Oversee on-site project kickoff meetings.
  • Collaborate on resourcing and recruiting.
  • Creating training plans focused on Microsoft Security solutions for channel partners and internal resources.
  • Create content (blog posts, datasheets, webinars) focused on Microsoft Security.
  • Establish go to market strategies for Microsoft Security programs and offerings.

Education/Experience

  • Required:
  • 10+ years of Microsoft or Microsoft Partner experience.
  • Strong experience on Microsoft security products.
  • Understanding and ability to articulate market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing a Professional Services practice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Engaging management and leadership style.
  • Trustworthy / honest and good interpersonal customer facing skills.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Strong multitasking ability including rapid transition from one to another.
  • Up to 20% out-of-town travel to client locations.

  • The ideal candidate will maintain certifications in the following areas:
  • Microsoft 365 (example: MS-102, MS-500)
  • Azure (example: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500)
  • Security and Compliance (example: SC-100, SC-200, SC-300)
