Sam Turney is currently serving as the Product & Sales Manager (Workplaces) at Cycling UK since February 2024, focusing on helping organizations utilize cycling to achieve their ESG goals and enhance employee wellbeing. Prior to this role, Sam worked as a Workplace Consultant from 2016 to 2024, designing inspiring workplaces across the UK. Sam's experience also includes positions at IWG plc from 2010 to 2016, where responsibilities included Area Sales Manager, Project Manager for Business Improvement Programmes, and Telesales Manager, targeting corporate occupiers and facilitating flexible office space solutions. Early career roles included team leadership in membership sales at Fitness First UK and positions as a holiday representative with TUI, alongside experiences as a backpacker in Australia and South East Asia. Sam holds A levels in Business Studies, Politics, and Physical Education from Charters Secondary School & 6th Form College, completed in 2004.

We are Cycling UK. We are the oldest, national cycling charity and have been looking after cyclists since 1878. Today we remain the nation’s voice for cycling and the strongest force for progressive change. Our vision is of a happier, healthier and cleaner world because more people cycle. We encourage all types of cycling, on and off road. We support you if you already ride, or would like to ride, to work or school, for health, touring, sport and leisure – or just because it’s fun. We’ve been working for cycling for over a century. Nationally and locally, we use our knowledge to influence decision makers, campaign for change and help people discover how cycling can change lives. ■We support individuals and communities. ■We protect cyclists’ interests. ■We campaign to make cycling mainstream and to remove the things that stop people cycling. ■We help people develop the confidence and skills to cycle. ■We promote the benefits of cycling to individuals, to society and to the economy.
