David Baxter

David Baxter is an accomplished Natural Language Processing Programmer and Ontologist at Cycorp, where contributions from September 1998 include the development and maintenance of compositional parsers, a proof-view justification system, and middleware that connects Cyc to user interfaces. Additionally, David leads the natural-language generation initiative at Cycorp. Prior experience includes serving as an instructor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from September 1993 to May 1998, teaching Korean language classes and Introduction to Linguistics. David holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a B.A. in Korean language and literature from Seoul National University, a B.Mus. in Cello performance from Indiana University Bloomington, and a high school diploma in Cello performance from Interlochen Arts Academy.
