Sing Yiu Cheung

Sing Yiu Cheung is a highly experienced engineer currently serving as Principal Engineer at Cyngn since October 2024. Previously, Sing held the position of Lead Engineer at All Day Kitchens, where significant contributions included developing a kitchen equipment monitoring system utilizing computer vision and machine learning, as well as enhancing a label printer system for restaurant partners. Sing's earlier roles encompass Staff Software Engineer at WeWork, focusing on deploying a substantial number of IAQ sensors and implementing scalable building operational systems, and Engineering Director/Co-founder at Peeq Data, which involved creating a video capture system for sports. With a strong background in research and development from PINC Solutions, as well as experience in real-time vehicle detection and autonomous vehicle challenges, Sing's academic credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Hong Kong.
