Cyprus Airways, the national carrier of Cyprus, was founded in September 1947 and has since played a significant role in the growth of the economy of the island. 

Cyprus Airways forms the backbone of the island’s air transport network through the operation of scheduled services to over 18 destinations in Europe and the Middle East by performing around seven thousand flights and carrying around 1.3 million revenue passengers annually.

Cyprus Airways current fleet consists of six A320 Airbuses. Cyprus Airways uses as its livery the moufflon, a type of wild sheep indigenous to Cyprus.
